Eight-time All-Star Paul George is back and better than ever. After missing the playoffs last season with a knee injury, George showed off his offensive skills in the Clippers' Oct. 17 preseason game against the Nuggets.
George scored 19 points in the first quarter, including two And-1 performances. He finished the game with 28 points, six rebounds and three assists.
The Clippers are hoping that George and Kawhi Leonard can stay healthy this season. The two All-Stars are entering their fifth year together in Los Angeles and are determined to lead the Clippers to their first NBA championship.
"We're not satisfied," George said in an interview with ESPN." We're going to come back better next year (this year). We'll be here for everybody."
The Clippers are one of the favorites to win the NBA championship this season. They have a deep and talented roster led by George, Leonard and Norman Powell. If George and Leonard can stay healthy, the Clippers will be a very difficult team to beat.
